Yes. Blog. B. L. O. G. What is it? In short it is the digital, or computerized version of a journal, or Diary The long somewhat comprehensive definition is:
blog = A frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and Web links. A blog is often a mixture of what is happening in a person's life and what is happening on the Web, a kind of hybrid diary/guide site, although there are as many unique types of blogs as there are people. People maintained blogs long before the term was coined, but the trend gained momentum with the introduction of automated published systems, most notably Blogger at blogger.com. Thousands of people use services such as Blogger to simplify and accelerate the publishing process. Blogs are alternatively called web logs, l. o. g. s.
Ok, now that we have blogs cleared up, lets start blogging! From SA Mobile Network Home you will see a My Blog option. Simply choose the "Post an Entry" link to get started. You can either post a voice, or text entry. The text entrie supports HTML. If you are viewing someone else's blog, you can choose the "Post a comment" link to reply back to something. Choosing voice and text will both ask you for the title of the blog, however, the voice option will have the record, stop, and play buttons, where as the text option will just have the multi line edit box in which you can type your blog text. When you are finished, just activate the post button. Your blog will be posted publicly, and anyone will have access to the blog. You can delete your entry by activating the Delete button, located below each entry, but only if it is your Blog. You cannot delete your posts on other users blogs. To access other blogs that others have posted, just visit Public Bookmarks. Tapping the letter H will jump you forward through the posts on a blog, and shift+H will jump you backward through the posts on a blog.
Your Blog's Address
It is very easy for those connected to the SA Mobile Network to browse and access your Blog. However, anyone can view your blog even if they are not an SA Mobile Network subscriber. All you have to do is to give someone your blog address.
The key to giving anyone your web blog’s address is in your email address. Your email address is given to you when you sign up to the SA Mobile Network. You may remember being asked a question about your user name? You may have said something like, “I would like my user name to be john_d”. In this case, your SA Mobile Network user name is just that john_d. Your email address is john_d@samobile.net. So your blog address is everything before the @ sign. In our example, your blog address would be http://www.samobile.net/users/john_d/blog. Now your blog address can be place within email messages, on other web sites, or anywhere else, that someone could benefit from having your blog address.
