Burn Your Own PassKey

Burning your own PassKey is easy. This section shows you how to do it, step by step.

  1. From the SA Mobile Desktop, choose SA Mobile Network Home.

  2. From SA Mobile Network Home, go to My Account.

  3. From there, choose Create a PassKey.

  4. If you've burned less than three PassKeys since the last major release of System Access, follow the Continue link on this page to proceed.

  5. If you have more than one CD recorder, choose the drive you want from the list, then press the Continue button to proceed.

  6. When the door of the recorder opens, insert a blank CD-R or a CD-RW. If you're using a CD recorder built into a laptop, close the door and then press Enter. Otherwise, make sure your hand is away from the door, then press Enter, and the door will close.

  7. If you inserted a CD-RW that isn't blank, you will be asked if you want to erase the disc. Press Enter if you do, or press Space if you want to go back to the previous step. If the disc isn't blank and can't be erased, you will be informed of this and returned to the previous step.

  8. Depending on the disc you inserted, you may be asked to choose the speed at which you want to write the disc. Higher numbers mean faster speeds, but for reliability, you may want to choose something a little lower than the highest speed available. Choose the speed you want from the list, then press Enter to continue.

  9. The PassKey will now be created, and you will be informed about progress. This may take several minutes, depending on the speed at which the CD is being written, so please be patient.

  10. When your PassKey is ready, the door of the CD recorder will open. At this point, remove the CD. If you're using a CD recorder built into a laptop, close the door and then press Enter. Otherwise, make sure your hand is away from the door, then press Enter, and the door will close.

That's it! If you'd still prefer that we burn a PassKey and ship it to you, you can order a pre-made PassKey from the "My Account" section for $24.95, including shipping. However, we believe the process of burning a PassKey is easy enough that you'll probably prefer to do it yourself.
