The SA Mobile Desktop, what is it?

When you connect to the System Access Mobile Network, you will be placed on your SA Mobile Desktop. This desktop is a virtual desktop that only exists within the SA Mobile Network. To help you visualize this desktop, it may help you to think of a real desktop, the type that you can physically touch.

What do you do with a real desktop? You put objects that you frequently use there, right? These objects may be papers that you are filling out, mail that needs attention, that "B" word, "Bills", and so on. Because all of these objects are on your desktop, it's simple to get to them in a hurry, when you want to. Just reach out, and grab the mail, and place it right in front of you, so that it's occupying all of your attention. Now, you can read your mail, without the distraction of bills, other documents, and so on. Of course when you're done with mail, and want something else on the desktop, it's as simple as putting the mail to one side, and moving something else in front of you so that something else occupies your full attention.

Well, guess what! The SA Mobile Desktop works in exactly the same way! The only differences is instead of physically moving objects around, with the SA Mobile desktop, you just use the keyboard.

When you go into the Desktop, you will automatically be told if you have Email, and how many email messages you have. At this point, it's as simple as tapping Enter on a link to access your new mail. When you access an object on the SA Mobile Desktop, a new window will open, and you can then use the object that you selected. At this point, you can alt+tab to cycle through the windows that you have open. If you close all of the windows, you will return to the SA Mobile Desktop.

From the SA Mobile Desktop, you also have access to your downloaded files, instant messaging, and other useful areas, on the SA Mobile Network. Now. If only I could find a way to keep those pesky Bills off my desktop!
